Peer Coaching

Train to become part of a team of BC-wide peer coaches so that you can support and motivate others in your community to make healthy living changes using a self-management framework.*

Healthy living changes include:

  • Getting more exercise
  • Eating healthier
  • Achieving/maintaining a healthy weight
  • Stopping/reducing smoking

Our approach uses a peer support model (patients supporting patients). Peer coaches are not expected to be counselors or healthcare professionals. All that is needed is an interest and passion for helping others make healthy living changes that can positively transform their lives!

If Peer Coaching is not for you, consider some other options for getting involved in the Patient Voices Network:

If you are looking to make some healthy living changes, you can also get matched with a Peer Coach.

*Please note that you are required to attend a free, two day training workshop in order to participate in Peer Coaching. Travel and accommodation expenses will be covered by Impact BC for individuals accepted into a training session.

Registration

If you are interested in attending the training workshop, you will need to register with the Patient Voices Network as a first step.
