Opportunity: Shared Care Committee focus group

The South Okanagan Shared Care Committee is inviting up to 20 Patient Voices Activated Network members from the South Okanagan to a focus group. This will be an opportunity to discuss concerns for patients regarding:

• referrals to specialist
• barriers in the referral process
• patient involvement in the process.

Patient Criteria

• Live in the South Okanagan (Summerland to Osoyoos and over to Princeton)
• Attend the round table discussion/focus group on Monday, January 23, 2012 (see details below)
• Be prepared to participate in a round table discussion providing your comments
• Attend as either a patient, family member, or caregiver who has been referred to a specialist

Details

• Monday, January 23, 2012
• Registration 4:45 p.m.
• Focus group and dinner 5:00 – 7:30 p.m.
• Session will be held in Penticton (more details will be forwarded as the session gets closer)
• Re-imbursement for travel expenses will be provided if needed
