PVN Opportunity: Designing an "ideal" system of delivery for senior's care services

The Prince George Senior's Healthcare delivery initiative is looking for one PVN patient to join a design group working towards designing an "ideal" system of delivery for senior's care services.

Background

Northern Health Authority (NHA) is currently undertaking an initiative to re-design the way in which Senior's care is delivered in Prince George. The goal is to develop a more integrated system of care for senior's in the community. As part of this initiative, a small design team has been established to develop what key stakeholders see as the ideal system of delivery. NHA is seeking to include one PVN volunteer from Prince George on this working group.

Criteria

Interested participants should be: considered a Senior (65+); Living in Prince George; and willing to commit to a significant piece of detailed work. Participants should also be open to looking at the big-picture with respect to senior's care in the city and be willing to work collaboratively with others as part of a team.

Committment

NHA has set the following dates for design group meetings with the outside consultant involved in this project: February 6th and 7th, 9th and 10th, and 23rd and 24th (the last day is an extra day as a contingency). These will be full day sessions. NHA is unsure of any specific time committments that may exist after this point.

PVN volunteers who are interested in taking part in this initiative are asked to email Anthony Gagne at agagne@patientvoices.ca no later than Friday, January 20th 2012.
